National Summit of Women Local Chief Executives and Legislators
The summit aims to raise awareness on issues related to gender mainstreaming and women’s participation and representation in local governance. It is also tasked to review, enhance, approve and adopt a Declaration that addresses the issues identified in major documents, such as: Framework Plan for Women, UN Millennium Development Goals, Poverty and Governance and women in Local Governance and some current gender issues and concerns for the Philippines.
