Integrity, Transparency and Accountability in Public Service (ITAPS)

The objective of the seminar is to provide venue whereby public service values are internalized and to enhance a deeper understanding of the role of public servants and the accountability attached to the positions in the government. The half day seminar covers the Roles and Functions of the Office of the Ombudsman; Rules of Procedures of the Office; Graft Prevention Programs/Projects and initiatives; and Common Crimes Committed by Public officials and employees. After the lecture-proper, participants are given chance to raise questions or clarifications during the open-forum.

In 2010, the CCB held 10 lectures on various topics. The Bureau of Resident Ombudsman cascaded a total of 104 lectures on various topics such as anti-red tape, integrity development review, procurement reform and unliquidated cash advance. For its part, OMB-Luzon conducted 5 public accountability lectures.
