The Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project Phase V (RWSSP V) made possible the installation of Level  I water supply facilities in selected municipalities in the provinces of Nueva Viscaya, Ilocos Sur, Mindoro Occidental and Mindoro Oriental. The objectives of the Project are to develop the capability of local government units (LGUs) in managing water and sanitation projects, promote gender-sensitive community participation, and reduce the incidence of water-borne diseases. The Project has been implemented by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) with the assistance from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC)
